Denise A. Ceravalo | Obituary


Denise A. Ceravalo Denise Alison Ceravalo, 50, of Charles Town, West Virginia, died Friday, August 12, 2022 at her home.

She was born March 4, 1972 in Martinsburg, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charles Staubs and Edna Lanehart Staubs.

She was of the Christian faith.

Denise graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1991, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Shepherd College, Class of 1995. She has taught at both Blue Ridge Elementary and South Jefferson Elementary, with a total of 24 years of service. in Jefferson County schools.

Denise loved spending time with her family and friends, welcoming anyone and touching so many lives. She was an amazing cook, had an infectious laugh, loved to sing and go to the beach.

She is survived by her loving husband, Brian; daughter, Michaela Beth Ceravalo; son, Michael Dylan Ceravalo and wife, Katie; two stepdaughters, Briana Harlee and Madison Raene Hogbin; five brothers, David (Tresa), Tim (Shirley), Gary (Barb), Dennis (Theresa) and Randy (Brenda) Staubs; a sister-in-law, Sue Staubs; former husband, Tony Andrew Ceravalo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Staubs.

Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with the Reverend Dr. Brian Hotaling officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends on Friday August 19, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Jefferson Elementary, 4599 Summit Point Road, Charles Town, WV 25414.
