Launch of a new international academic journal in Dhaka

Journal for improving service quality (JSQE), a new international academic journal dedicated to developing and improving the quality of service in businesses and commerce, was launched on July 31, 2021.

A project of the Center for Service Quality Enhancement (CSQE), the event was seen with a virtual session, which brought together a group of world-renowned professors, researchers and academics, who make up the esteemed editorial board of the review. The session was opened by the journal’s editor-in-chief and principal consultant for the CSQE, Professor Dr Md Tareque Aziz.

Professor Aziz said: “JSQEThe mission of is to provide a good platform for local researchers. And as the UGC now requires faculty members to publish in good quality journals, JSQE will provide a strong platform for talented young researchers and academics in the country to publish their research in the country. “The journal will also strive to bridge the gap between industry and academia, he added. .

The program began with an introductory speech by Professor Dr Zahurul Alam, former Head of Governance Portfolio, UNDP. Professor Dr Abu Waheeduzzaman, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, followed, encouraging faculty members to publish papers widely to contribute to Bangladesh’s research sector. In addition, he urged them to attend international conferences and discover new ideas to grow. Professor Dr Basav Roychoudhury of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) offered to attract young researchers to publish. This will help build their capacity to generate innovative ideas, he said. Professor Dr Nayem Rahman, Portland State University, stressed the need to encourage students and faculties to publish collaboratively. This will give birth to the next generation of researchers, he predicted.

A total of 28 participants including academics, researchers and other distinguished guests from different universities were present in this virtual program. A acceptance speech was delivered by Professor Dr Abul H. Azam of North South University, acknowledging the commitment of all members of the Editorial Board to moving JSQE forward.

The logistical organization of the program was carried out by the CSQE Research Assistant (RA), Adrian Chowdhury. The program ended with a wish of appreciation from the program host as well as CSQE Brand Manager Shakila Yasmin.
