Mary E. Houston Mary Ellamae Houston, 81, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died Thursday, March 24, 2022 at EW Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV.
Born May 30, 1940 in Morgan County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edwin and Anna Marie Stotler Heironimus.
She was of the Methodist faith. Ellamae graduated from Berkeley Springs High School. She worked as a clerk for Food Lion and the Dollar General Store. Ellamae loved to cook and collected bells, angels and Thomas Kincade objects. She looked forward to decorating Martinsburg’s downtown counters with flags and ribbons every year. Ellamae was a #1 WVU Mountaineers fan. She was a strong supporter of Israel.
Ellamae is survived by his children, Mark Edward Michael and his wife, Megan of Inwood, WV, Marcella Faith Crabbs and her husband, Fred of Gettysburg, PA, Angel Marie Houston of Parkersburg, WV, his siblings, Lynda Karole Bradley of Berkeley Springs, WV, Donald “Jimmy” Heironimus, of Inwood, Kenneth Heironimus of Berkeley Springs, and Richard Heironimus of Berkeley Springs, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Retha Crosen, Judy Heironimus, Bonita “Bonnie” Kline, two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Heironimus and Clifford Heironimus.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs. Interment will be at Greenwood Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
