SHENANDOAH JUNCTION – Hannah Howard became the seventh Musseman volleyball player to achieve 1,000 career kills.

She hit the mark on Thursday as the Applemen beat Jefferson 25-12, 25-21, 25-8 in the Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference game.

She had four kills and four aces in the win.

Caroline Shipley added six kills and 15 assists for the Applemen; Madigan Faircloth had 12 digs to lead the team; and Bella Hutzler has 16 assists.

The Applemen are 29-2-1.

Hedgesville 3, Washington 0

CHARLES TOWN – Hedgesville defeated Washington on Thursday in EPAC action.

Berger 3, West Chester 0

SHEPHERDSTOWN – A winning streak ended Friday as Shepherd hosted West Chester in East Division volleyball at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Shepherd came on after winning 13 straight games, and West Chester had won in nine straight games.

Shepherd moved his record to 15-1 with a sweep of 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.


Washington 2, Hedgesville 0

CHARLES TOWN – Washington moved up to 11-4 to claim an EPAC victory on Thursday.

The shepherd falls

SHEPHERDSTOWN – Shepherd dropped a pair of tennis matches at Davis & Elkins on


Davis and Elkins earned a 7-0 victory for the men and a 5-2 victory for the women.

Shepherd’s women’s team have won singles victories over Morgan Burner and Johnna Smith.

Burner won 6-1, 7-5 in the fourth single and Smith took a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No.5.

Both Shepherd’s teams are 1-1.
