SHEPHERDSTOWN – Shepherd (1-4-0, 0-4-0 PSAC East) abandoned a 2-1 decision over Lock Haven (3-3-1, 1-3-1 PSAC East) in women’s football in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Wednesday.

The Bald Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute when Eva Stoessel scored on a assist from Taylor Moritz.

Evelyn Ciaccia scored on a Janessa Swartz pass in the 56th minute to take the 2-0 lead.

Delaney Bittner scored for the Rams in the 67th minute on a assist from Madi White.

Faith Geraci made 10 saves for the Rams goal. Kylie Auman made four saves for the Bald Eagles.

Lock Haven had an 18-9 advantage in shots with a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Bald Eagles had a 6-5 advantage in corners.


West Chester 4, Berger 1

SHEPHERDSTOWN – Kendall Walkes scored twice to lead West Chester (2-0-1, 2-0-0 PSAC East) to a win over Shepherd (1-7-0, 0-3-0 PSAC East).

The Golden Rams had a 3-0 lead at the break behind a Doug Goitia goal and a pair of Walkes.

Tommy Bodenschatz scored on a pass from Gio Jimenez at 67:22 to extend the lead to 4-0.

Shamar Robinson scored from a penalty at 80:05 for the Rams.

Goalie Billy Wood made three saves for the Rams. Jake Langley made three saves and Daniel Good added another for West Chester.

West Chester had a 13-6 advantage in shots with a 7-5 advantage in penalties. The Golden Rams had a 7-4 advantage on corners.


Spring Mills 1, Jefferson 1

SPRING MILLS – Spring Mills tied Jefferson in the Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference game on Tuesday.

The Cougars had delivered the Cardinals’ only loss in an 8-1-2 season.

Samantha Baxter’s free kick from outside the goal area helped Spring Mills score.

There was no word on the Jefferson scorer.
