Log recording (Oklahoma City) announced its 19th Under-40 Achievers class.

Among this year’s 45 honorees is Dr. Michael Davis, assistant professor of criminal justice and special assistant to the president for compliance at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Graduating as a lawyer, Davis attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law and earned his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of the Cumberlands, in Williamsburg, KY. He currently serves on the board of governors of the Oklahoma Bar Association and as an associate member of the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners. An expert in civil rights, equity, and labor law, he has served as Title IX coordinator for the university since 2016. He also serves the Durant Industrial Authority community and the Durant Rotary Club.

Winners will be recognized at a celebratory evening on Thursday, May 12 at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

A special magazine presenting the profiles of each laureate will be inserted in Log recording May 13.

“In addition to career achievement, the Achievers Under 40 program honors civic engagement and good works in our Oklahoma communities,” said Joe Dowd, editor of Log recording. “The 19th class of honorees made service a priority and shone through tough times.”
