Tamara M. Hawkermale | Obituary


Tamara Michael Hawvermale, 52, of Shepherdstown returned home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022 with her family by her side.

Born July 13, 1969 in Martinsburg, WV, she is the daughter of Christine Hess Michael and the late Matthew Art Michael.

She had been a drug-testing technician for Berkeley County Day Report since September 2017. Previously, she was a manager at Middle Creek Archery from May 2013 to March 2015. It was a parent-owned business, where she worked alongside from his mother. She had been a notary since 2016. Tammy worked at MAAX by Akers in customer service, benefits administrator, payroll and human resources. She graduated from Musselman High School in June 1987.

She was a member of the Inwood Assembly of God for thirty years under Pastor James Schuelke. Over the years she has served her church and Jesus in many ways teaching in the Royal Rangers, Missionettes, taking notes at business meetings, helping with church dinners, helping with babysitting duties , loved mowing the lawn, ran the church’s media department; and worked where needed.

Tammy became a licensed minister with the Apostolic Association of Related Ministers under Bill and Sylvie Sudduth.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Donald Hawvermale, Jr.; a son, Andrew Milburn and his wife, Carol; one daughter, Meagan Milburn; son-in-law, Brandon Hawvermale; grandson, Damian Milburn; a sister-in-law Lisa Dutko; two nieces, Lexi Elizabeth Dutko and Tessa Dutko; a nephew Les Dutko and a stepfather Donald Hawvermale, Sr. Also a number of cousins ​​and aunt Cindy (Bobby) Lilliard.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Dorothy and Leroy Coulter and Kenneth Hess, Sr., Catherine and Charles Greenwalt, Raymond and Gloria Michael, uncles Kelly, Mitchell and Kenneth Hess, Jr. ; and Aunt Peggy Grantzow.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Inwood Assembly of God, presided over by Pastor James Schuelke.
